Day 1: Arrive in Sydney Arriving in Sydney, you'll be met at the airport and transferred to your centrally located hotel. From here you’re just steps away from the Central Business District, the historic Rocks area, leading shops and boutiques, and some of the finest restaurants Sydney has to offer. Take today to unwind and explore the city.
Day 2: Opera House Tour & Sydney Harbor Cruise After breakfast, it’s a short walk past the ferry terminal to Sydney’s most famous landmark, the Opera House. Enjoy an inside look at this architectural masterpiece, while learning about its colorful history on your guided tour.
Then head down the street to the Commissioner’s Steps to meet Sea Sydney Cruises for departure on your small group cruise. You’ll see Sydney Harbour from onboard Calypso, a 52-foot luxury motor yacht, and pass Sydney Harbour Bridge and the Opera House before dropping anchor in a secluded cove for a barbecue lunch. Go for a swim, kayak into the beach for an ice cream, try your luck fishing or just relax on the expansive sunbeds soaking up the Sydney sunshine. Whatever your desire, this is your chance to cruise like a local and truly enjoy this quintessential Australian experience.
Day 3: Golf New South Wales Golf Club This morning set out for your first round of golf. A private transfer will collect you for the short drive across town to New South Wales Golf Club. Designed in 1926 by Alister MacKenzie, the NSW Golf Course is situated on the northern headland of historic Botany Bay. Located in the Sydney suburb of La Perouse, it is flanked by the rugged cliffs of Henry Head and the prominent headland of Cape Banks. "La Perouse", as the course is often known, is set amongst scrub covered sand hills and valleys that slope down to the Pacific Ocean at secluded Cruwee Bay. This inspiring layout is bounded by water on three sides and has many of the characteristics of true links golf. Occasionally benign and at the mercy of the "young guns", this sleeping giant, with its undulating fairways and small greens, calls for great skill in shot making when the sea breezes blow. It has been written that golf had its origins on unique seascapes similar to this one, where the wind is a dominating factor and the direction from which it blows making any of the eighteen holes comparatively easy or extremely difficult. The course consistently ranks among the top 50 golf courses in the world.
Day 4: Sydney – Hamilton Island Awake to your final breakfast in Sydney, before making your way north to Hamilton Island. A private transfer will take you to Sydney Airport for your flight to Hamilton Island, where your Qualia Resort host will greet you at the airport.
Qualia is a unique expression of world class luxury, situated on the secluded northernmost tip of Hamilton Island, at the edge of the Great Barrier Reef. It is a truly special place where everything has been meticulously considered to relax the mind and spoil the senses. Feel time unravel in exquisitely appointed pavilions that sit in perfect harmony with the rare, natural beauty of the Great Barrier Reef. Once inside, two exclusive restaurants provide the ideal stage to whet your appetite with fresh and innovative cuisine. For a truly memorable experience, step inside Spa Qualia, which offers an extensive range of luxurious local and international treatments.
Day 5: Hamilton Island - Day at Leisure Enjoy a day of leisure at this spectacular resort. Take a dip in one of the two serene pools, read a book on the beach or explore the tropical Whitsundays and Great Barrier Reef. Qualia offers a range of experiences beyond golf, including sailing, boating, diving and snorkeling.
Day 6: Hamilton Island Golf Club Today you’ll set out by boat for Dent Island, where you’ll play your second round of golf. Perfectly located at the edge of the Great Barrier Reef, the Hamilton Island Golf Club is set among spectacular hills and escarpments overlooking the waterways of the Whitsunday Islands. Designed by 5 times British Open Champion, Peter Thomson, and Ross Perret, of Thomson Perrett, the Hamilton Island Golf Club is the only championship island golf course in Australia.
Day 7: Hamilton Island – Adelaide Today you’ll make your way south to Adelaide, where you’ll spend the next two nights. Your accommodation in Adelaide is a historic heritage-listed former Treasury building, just minutes from the central business district, retail stores and Adelaide’s major tourist attractions.
Day 8: Barossa Valley Wine Tour Explore South Australia’s famous Barossa Valley on this comprehensive full day small group tour. Your experienced wine guide will show you through the region’s top wineries such as Peter Lehmann, Torbreck, Henschkes, and Charles Melton. The tour includes wine tastings, refreshments, and a two-course lunch.
Day 9: Adelaide – Kangaroo Island This morning you'll be transferred to the airport for your short flight to Kangaroo Island. Your tour guide will greet you at the Kingscote Airport for your full-day, 4WD tour, which blends wildlife, landscape, food and wine. Get an introduction to Island life - where drivers wave as they go by or even stop for a chat. Have morning tea before taking a walk down a country path through gum trees where koalas snooze. Travel through farming country to the north coast and seek out endangered wallabies and a kangaroo found only on Kangaroo Island. Enjoy an elegant lunch featuring local fish, fresh salads and fine South Australian wines at a private bush location. At Seal Bay walk among sea lions on a sandy beach in a “Galapagos” style wildlife encounter. Your accommodation for the night is a historic homestead, where you’ll enjoy a gourmet dinner featuring island cuisine among fellow guests.
Day 10: Kangaroo Island – Adelaide – Sydney Awake to another gourmet meal at the homestead, before your transfer to Kingscote Airport and flight to Adelaide. From Adelaide, you’ll begin your return home.
