Day 1: Arrive in Perth
Upon arrival in Perth, you’ll be met at the airport and transferred to your accommodation for the next two nights. You'll be staying at a centrally located 5 star hotel. From here, you’ll be just minutes away from the major business, entertainment, and shopping areas, as well as Kings Park botanical gardens and the beautiful Swan River. You can take advantage of the free city bus service located on the hotel’s doorstep to access top local attractions.
Day 2: Wine Cruise
After breakfast, get ready to board Captain Cook’s Famous Wine Cruise, where you’ll travel into the upper reaches of the Swan Valley. Enjoy morning tea, plus wine tastings of both Houghton wines and premium ‘Wines of the Month’ from local vineyards. Disembark at the prestigious Sandalford estate to sample their award-winning wines and tour their property. You’ll enjoy a gourmet two-course lunch and dessert buffet. Then re-board to cruise back downstream, sampling more premium wines from the Swan Valley.
Day 3: Perth – Broome
This morning you'll catch a transfer to Perth Airport for your flight to Broome. In Broome, you’ll be transferred to your 5 star accommodation for the night. Located on the beautiful and iconic Cable Beach, this idyllic seaside location offers spectacular sunsets, gently swaying palm trees and plenty of Kimberley Charm.
Day 4: Broome – Kimberley
Your Kimberley adventure begins today. After breakfast, depart Broome and visit the Boab Prison Tree at Derby and journey down the Gibb River Road to access some of the Kimberley’s best scenery, before a picnic lunch. Travel onward to Windjana Gorge to see ancient marine fossils, and then down the Lennard River to see freshwater crocodiles. You’ll go through the remarkable Tunnel Creek, before arriving at the township of Fitzroy Crossing. Your accommodation for the night will provide dinner.
Day 5: Purnululu National Park
After breakfast, depart Fitzroy Crossing and head for one of Australia’s most fascinating nature reserves, Purnululu National Park, home to the black and orange striped domes of the Bungle Bungle Range. Enjoy a picnic lunch and day of site seeing. The tented ensuite cabins at a wilderness lodge will be your accommodation for the next two nights, providing breakfast and dinner.
Day 6: Piccaninny Creek
Today you’ll hike into Piccaninny Creek, where you’ll walk along this ancient river bed through to the spectacular Cathedral Gorge. Walk among the beehive domes as your guide provides a history of the place. Enjoy a picnic lunch and learn of bush tucker, bush medicine and the area’s significance to local Aborigines. You may do an optional helicopter flight (additional cost), before drinks and dinner.
Day 7: Echidna Chasm, China Wall and Halls Creek
Take one of Australia’s most captivating hikes to Echidna Chasm, a spectacular cleft in the rock. Travel the Great Northern Highway to the historic gold mining town of Halls Creek and visit China Wall.
Day 8: Geike Gorge – Broome
Enjoy the morning exploring peculiar Geikie Gorge, where annual flooding has created a bleached effect on the limestone walls. Join a cruise along this stunning gorge before travelling back to Broome where your tour concludes. Overnight Broome.
Day 9: Depart Broome
After breakfast, you'll be transferred to the airport for departure from Broome.
